February 12, 2010- Application Approved! Begin collecting paperwork for home study.
March 18, 2010- Home Visit with Social Worker
May 7th, 2010- Home Study Complete
June 21st, 2010- REFERRAL!!!! (and she’s so beautiful!)
June 28th, 2010- Fingerprints with USCIS
July 19th, 2010- Turned in completed dossier to agency
September 27th, 2010- Courts reopen in Ethiopia! Our case is submitted!
October 12th, 2010- Receive court date!
November 8th, 2010- Travel to Ethiopia for 1st trip
November 11th, 2010- Meet Layla for the first time!
November 12th, 2010- Court (didn’t pass…rescheduled court date for Nov. 25th)
November 13th, 2010-Say Goodbye to Layla (praying to return soon!)
November 14th, 2010- Home from Ethiopia
November 25th, 2010- 2nd court date (We passed!)
December 31st, 2010- Leave for Ethiopia (2nd trip)
January 8th, 2011- Layla is HOME!!!
I can’t wait to hear more about your little baby girl! I also can’t wait for you to visit Ethiopia! It is an amazing country. I thought of you guys a lot as we were in Langano knowing your baby girl came from around there. I can’t wait to hear more! Are there any updates?? Hope you guys are having a good summer!
